Roman Laney is a Los Angeles-based illustrator, animator, and art director. Trained at California Institute of the Arts and Vancouver Film School, his work spans background design, visual development, environment painting, CG generalist work, and game art.

He has art directed for Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation, and Nickelodeon — including the Animaniacs reboot for Amblin and Hulu, the Powerpuff Girls reboot, and El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera. Additional credits include visual development for Marvel Studios and Netflix, background art on The Book of Life at Reel FX, and design and color work for Disney, Adult Swim, Ghostbot, and WildBrain.

Roman is always exploring new projects — both personal illustration and animated short films. He is available for art direction, background design, visual development, and CG work.
